Healing truth: calming the body, does lead to a calmer mind
Christian Healing Blog volunteers have learned, that when their bodies are less tense, their minds are 'less active' (experience less negative thoughts, chatter, etc.). Therefore, as part of the 'be transformed by the renewal of the mind process', we encourage people to engage in regular breathing and muscle relaxation exercises. These exercises can be especially helpful when one is experiencing a high level of bodily tension/anxiety, for they will help relax one's body, which in turn help calm one's mind, as brain research has shown.
